ePoint Medway; 55 days and counting

With the take-up of warehouse space in the UK hitting record levels in 2020, driven largely by eCommerce related demand, the overall increase of 64% on 2019’s figures was 43% higher than the 5-year annual average and underlines the critical need for ePoint Medway.

In what was a highly turbulent year for the economy, as the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Noatum Logistics in the UK not only delivered critical medical and PPE supplies, we helped our customers weather the storm and, in October, began development of our largest ever eCommerce logistics facility, ePoint Medway.

Strategically located to the east of London, ePoint Medway is 378,000 sq ft of custom-created space, dedicated to super-efficient eCommerce fulfilment. Specifically designed to help business out-perform as the nation becomes even more reliant on eCommerce channels.

Deploying leading-edge automation and technology ePoint’s flexible solutions are tailored to each multi-user’s unique requirements to process and deliver orders, quickly and efficiently, extending their omnichannel brand experience and keeping their customer promise.

With just over 55 working days to go, before we welcome the first customers to ePoint, the facility build is complete and focus has moved to the critical fit-out and customisation stages.

More than 120 contractors are currently on-site, constructing and customising ePoint’s automated handling systems, including our specially designed conveyor systems and bespoke racking solutions, Covid-19 risk mitigation has been stepped up.

It is our number one priority to protect colleagues and constructor partners, who have been on site continuously, and have not lost a single day through the various COVID lockdowns and restrictions.
