Integrated supply chain concept secures another award short-listing

The British International Freight Association (BIFA) have revealed the finalists of their 2020 Freight Service Awards, with Noatum Logistics shortlisted in the coveted supply chain management category.

The British International Freight Association (BIFA) is the trade association for 1,500 UK-registered companies that are engaged in the international movement of freight by all modes of transport.

Peer-to-peer recognition is the ultimate accolade, which is probably why the BIFA Freight Service Awards have been so hotly contested since their launch in 1990, with the Noatum UK team consistently shortlisted and picking up many awards in the years before the pandemic.

The Noatum submission focuses on its integrated supply chain concept, which has proven invaluable for retailers seeking to overcome pandemic supply chain challenges, while servicing omni-channels and meeting accelerating eCommerce demands.

Across 10 areas of logistics operation, each integrated supply chain solution incorporates elements of existing, adapted, new and innovative operations and technology:

  • Purchase order and vendor management at all origins
  • End-to-end supply chain visibility
  • Multi-vendor consolidation and equipment utilisation
  • EU distribution
  • UK DC and logistics
  • eCommerce customer service
  • Order fulfilment and channel management
  • Courier and parcel management
  • Returns management programme
  • CO2 emission monitoring and offsetting

Freight Service Award victors will be revealed at the awards ceremony, to be held on Thursday 20th January 2022 at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London, EC1.

The BIFA award short-listing follows Noatum UK’s short-listing for the Retail Supply Chain Excellence and Supply Chain Operations categories in this year’s Supply Chain Excellence awards, as well as being finalists in the Logistics Partner of the Year category of the Logistics UK awards.
